When I completed my initial training in Hypnosis, and NeuroLinguistic Programming, I knew I was going to be able to help many people. I have always been fascinated with the abilities of the human mind. I have also been curious as to why so many people do not live at their full potential. I am constantly surprised at how much the concept of hypnosis is misunderstood. When it comes to hypnosis, most people fall into one of two categories. The first group knows nothing at all about hypnosis. The second group is full of information that is false. In these pages, I will offer information, and products, to help you understand hypnosis, and the abilities of the human mind. This is a living document, and will be updated often. Please check back from time to time. You may be surprised at what you find. One of the presuppositions of NLP is that if one person is able to do something, then other people have the potential of doing that also. If one person demonstrates the ability to bowl a perfect game, have a pain-free childbirth (without drugs), or "spontaneously" heal from catastrophic illness, then it is possible for other people to achieve those same results. There are people who have achieved amazing results in almost every field of human endeavor. We can discover their strategies through inquiry. It is possible to find out what they think, see, feel, and do. When you know what programs are running in their system, you can achieve similar results. In order to achieve the exact same result, you would have to have the exact same lifetime of experiences. Even identical twins, who share experiences, do not have the same programs running. They each view the same events from a different perspective. The collections of our perception of our experiences form the basis of our beliefs. Our beliefs determine how we filter the multitude of information we are exposed to daily. Any bits of information that do not fit with our beliefs are blocked out. You can achieve what you can believe is possible. In other words, if Mark McGwire can hit 70 homeruns in a single season (1998), then it is possible for someone else to do that also. The previous single season record was 61, set by Roger Maris in 1961. That record was held for 37 years, which is a long time for an athletic record. Sammy Sosa hit 66 homeruns in that same year, 1998.
The point is: Limits are set by what we believe is possible. Once those limits are exceeded, beliefs shift, and new limits are set. Everybody knows that ostriches bury their heads in the sand when danger is near. How do you know that? | |||||
